Medarb is an acronym for Mediation and Arbitration which are processes for resolving a dispute.
Mediation is a dispute /party-driven process for the resolution of a dispute. That is disputing parties have the power to determine the eventual settlement outcome.
Arbitration is a process where the resolution outcome is determined by a third party. The disputing parties entrust the power to determine a settlement outcome (determination) to the third party and agree to abide by the third party decision.
